The Mavericks took control of the game in the third quarter, outscoring the Timberwolves 32-19. Doncic scored 10 points in the quarter, including a pair of three-pointers.

The Timberwolves rallied in the fourth quarter, cutting the Mavericks' lead to three points with just over three minutes remaining. But Doncic hit a jumper and Brunson made a free throw to give the Mavericks a five-point lead with 1:06 left.
